Make the most of your London visit with our pick of some of the most interesting events in the city this June. At Euston Square Hotel we’re in the thick of it, so be sure to get out there and explore London!
A short walk west along Euston Road you will discover the lush and verdant surroundings of wonderful Regent’s Park. Surrounded by beautiful architecture, the park features dedicated flower gardens, a large lake, cafe and bandstand. It is also bordered by ZSL London Zoo. This June sees a number of events taking place, and we say it’s well worth a look during your stay.
Festival of Play on June 4th is a free family day for children of all ages and abilities to celebrate and explore playing in the park. Get involved in music making, dressing up, getting messy and more! There are further family themed days on June 15th and 29th with Play in the Park. These play sessions feature a team of experienced playworkers ready to provide the equipment and support for children to play freely.
June 15th-19th sees Taste of London Festival set up in the park. Featuring over 120 dishes from London’s most talented chefs, the event also includes interactive masterclasses, cooking demonstrations and special dining experiences. Definitely one for the foodies!

Just across the street from us you’ll find the Wellcome Collection, an amazing free museum and library. The Wellcome collection features exhibitions, collections, live programming and more. This stimulating museum creates opportunities to think deeply about the connections between science, medicine, life and art. Their permanent exhibitions are fascinating and highly recommended. Currently they also have some intriguing temporary exhibitions. Rooted Beings is on until August 29th, and invites you to embark on a meditative reflection on the world of plants and fungi. Meanwhile In the Air explores the relationship between the air and earth and life itself, on until October 16th.
June also see some intriguing study session talks on HIV taking place on June 8th and 21st. Expect an engaging and comprehensive overview of HIV/AIDs and its history. It will look closely at its impact on the LGBT+ community, Black people and People of Colour, both past and present. Similarly, there are Body Image study sessions on June 22nd and 28th. Head over for a whole-day session full of creative and discussion-based activities on the theme of body image as seen today, in the past and across different cultures.

Finally, you should really take a walk down to Marylebone Village. Situated south west of Regent’s Park, this upmarket neighbourhood is a delight. Beautiful boutique stores, great cafes and eateries, plus some wonderful little winding streets, it really does feel like a village, set apart from the West End.
This June sees the Marylebone Summer Festival take over the quaint streets and gardens of the neighbourhood on June 18th and 19th. The festival will include an open-air cinema, dog show, alfresco bars, live music performances, and family-friendly activities. From fashion, beauty and wellbeing to food and drink, the brands in Marylebone Village will offer an exciting array of in-store activations, exclusive discounts, special menus and extended opening hours.
June 18th is Film Night at Paddington Street Gardens with a spectacular open-air cinema. Visitors can enjoy a screening of Bohemian Rhapsody under the stars from the comfort of a deckchair. The next day, June 19th, is a must for fans of four legged friends. Local dog-friendly cafe and grooming salon, Mr & Mrs Small, will host the first ever Marylebone Summer Festival Dog Show in St Marylebone Parish Church Gardens. Witness a fine array of pampered pooches and enjoy this piece of London canine history!
