If you are staying with us at Euston Square Hotel in May you can’t miss that there’s a Royal event coming… London is making the final preparations of the Coronation of King Charles III.
Whatever your thoughts on the role of Royalty in the 21st Century, it will surely be a spectacle to behold, and a truly historic occasion.
May 6th is Coronation Day.The three key events are The King’s Procession, The Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey and The Coronation Procession. There will be lots of opportunities to watch the processions from dedicated viewing areas along the route, and you will be able to watch the Coronation itself on TV or on big screens in various public locations, including Covent Garden and Hyde Park.
The King’s Procession departs from Buckingham Palace, proceeding down The Mall, through Admiralty Arch, along Whitehall and onto Parliament Street.
Travelling around the east and south sides of Parliament Square, the King’s Procession then arrives at the Sanctuary of Westminster Abbey for the coronation service.
After the service, the King and the Queen Consort follow the exact same route in reverse, ending their journey at Buckingham Palace.
May 7th is The Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle, continuing the festivities, which will also be screened at various sites. May 8th is a public holiday, so expect the revelry to continue

May 22-29th – Belgravia in Bloom Festival returns for its eighth year. Under the theme of Into the Wild, the festival will see Belgravia packed with incredible floral installations and displays depicting creatures of all sizes:, from butterflies to tigers, and more.
