Camden is a world famous vibrant and eclectic neighbourhood known for its alternative culture, bustling markets, and live music scene. This lively area attracts locals and tourists alike with its unique charm and diverse attractions. What’s more, it’s just a short walk, bus or tube ride from us here at Euston Square Hotel. Here are some of the must-see places and things to do in Camden:
A world-famous market, Camden Market is a shopaholic’s paradise with a plethora of stalls offering everything from vintage clothing and quirky accessories to international street food. It’s the perfect place to wander around, soak up the lively atmosphere, and pick up unique souvenirs. Part of the larger Camden Market complex, the Stables Market is housed in former horse stables and features a unique collection of shops selling antiques, fashion, and crafts.
Adjacent to the market, Camden Lock offers a picturesque canal-side setting where visitors can relax and enjoy boat rides along Regent’s Canal. The area is lined with charming cafes and pubs, providing an ideal spot for a leisurely break. Exploring the canal network on foot is another great way to spend the day, discovering all sorts of hidden gems.
Camden’s culinary scene is diverse and exciting, offering cuisines from around the world. From street food vendors to trendy restaurants and traditional pubs, there’s something to satisfy every palate. After dark, the neighbourhood comes alive with a lively nightlife, featuring bars and clubs that cater to various tastes. You’ll find great gigs at The Underworld, situated underneath the iconic World’s End pub. We also recommend a visit to The Black Heart for some great drinks and an awesome rock vibe, along with some intriguing small gigs. The Dublin Castle should also be on your list.
