Things to do in London this February

Walk to Camden and check out the market, or head west and visit ZSL London Zoo via Regent’s Park. Take the Underground – we are quite literally on top of Euston Square station. Kew Gardens

Kew Gardens is a world famous botanical garden and houses an incredible collection of plants and trees from all across the globe. Head there this month for the Kew Gardens Orchid Festival. Encompassing a series of stunning horticultural displays and living sculptures, the festival takes places across the ten different climatic zones which make up Kew’s state-of-the-art Princess of Wales Conservatory, replicating a series of fascinating global ecosystems under one roof. Catch this delight for plant lovers 4th February-5th March.

Independent Ceramics Market

Have you been to Peckham? Just one of South London’s many super hip neighbourhoods, there’s lots to discover. This month make a visit to the Independent Ceramics Market, taking place on 18th February. This market brings together a community of ceramic artists & DIY potters, providing a unique opportunity to peruse a diverse range of affordable ceramic artwork, chat to the maker, and pick up some baked goods. We dare say there’ll be some excellent flat whites to be found nearby too…

The London Classic Car Show

Or how about some automotive icons? Taking place 24th-26th February at Olympia in Kensington, The London Classic Car Show returns for its ninth year with celebrated cars and the promise of special features, live music and interviews with celebrities, yet to be announced. It’s the undeniable event of the season for the UK’s car enthusiasts. Amongst many other attractions, this year the show celebrates 60 years of the evergreen Porsche 911, with an eye-catching collection of evolving 911s. From the original air-cooled Type 901 launched at the Frankfurt Show in 1963 to the latest Type 992 supercars, these are classics that cannot be missed. Get up close and personal with hidden motoring treasures, as the show also shines a spotlight on Barn-Finds and Survivors, providing a fascinating insight into the uncovering and restoration of recently discovered relics.
