What’s on in London in July

Events happening around Euston Square Hotel this July

Here’s some ideas for things to see and do in London this July. Summer is here, and our hand picked events take in some of the more unusual and less well known events and venues. Prepare to get a real taste of London life this summer…

The Foundling Museum

The Foundling Museum in Bloomsbury is a fascinating piece of London’s social history. The museum tells the story of the UK’s first children’s charity and its first public art gallery – the outcome of a centuries-old project designed to care for and educate London’s most vulnerable citizens.

The Foundling Museum’s mission is to inspire change through the power of the arts. A visit will uncover the incredible story of Thomas Coram’s hospital for foundlings, plus much more.

This month’s events include:

July 7th – Young ArtistsPlatform: Philharmonia – In the surroundings of the Picture Gallery, enjoy a lunchtime concert from the young musicians from the Philharmonia Orchestra’s MMSF Instrumental Fellowship programme.

July 13th – Charles Jennens: The Man Behind Handel’s Messiah – Learn about Handel’s best librettist, Charles Jennens, during an online talk.

July 21st – Behind the Scenes Tour of Charles Jennens: Patron & Polymath – Join Katharine Hogg, Librarian of the Gerald Coke Handel Collection, to explore the making of Charles Jennens: Patron and Polymath in more detail.

July 26-29th – Summer Holiday Workshops – There’s a host of family-friendly workshops during the summer holidays, such as “Make Your Own Comic Book”, “3D Character Design” and more!

Fun for all ages.
