Spring is here and we’re loving the longer days at Euston Square Hotel. Be sure to take a wander up to Regent’s Park when you stay with us. It’s a short walk and a beautiful spot to relax among the fabulous trees and formal gardens. If you like running, it’s the perfect spot for your morning jaunt, and more on that later… Here’s a few suggestions of things to see and do while you stay with us this April.
Do you like coffee? For serious fans, head to the London Coffee Festival.
From latte art masterclasses to a barista tournament and even a coffee-themed art exhibition, the full programme of interactive demonstrations, workshops, talks and tasting sessions has something new to teach even the keenest of connoisseurs.
The Festival takes place April 20-23rd and you’ll find all the info you need HERE.
Just down the street from us, you will find the British Library.
This noble institution has a great programme of monthly talks and events, and is always worth a look. From April 21st they have a new exhibition, Animals: Art, Science and Sound. This major exhibition charts our efforts to record and describe animals and our relationship with them. Discover how documenting the animal world has resulted in some of humankind’s most awe-inspiring art, science and sound recordings.

So, back to running. April 23rd is the TCS London Marathon.
One of the world’s biggest marathon events, the city will be full of folk running, and those cheering them on. From elite world famous legends of the sport, to people dressed as dinosaurs doing their bit for charity, it’s a spectacle to see. Spectators can watch from almost anywhere along the 26.2-mile course. Some parts of the route, including the areas by Cutty Sark and St James’s Park, get very busy on Marathon Day, while The Highway will enable you to see everyone pass twice.

April 23rd also marks St. George’s Day.
Known historically as the Feast of St George, this Saint’s day was a big deal for church and state for much of British history. This year there’s a free St George’s Day festival on the day, the first time the event has taken place since 2019. Expect live entertainment, both traditional and modern, and it takes place at Trafalgar Square. From Morris dancers to acoustic music, it should be a grand day out.

That’s a few things to keep you inspired for April, and next month we’ll be back with more ideas to keep you busy in the city.
